Maria Brodeur was
born in Massachussets and resides in Pittsfield with her husband and children. A
graduate of Elm's College, she is a perioperative and parish nurse. Maria has
written several literary works, including The Chosen One and One Hundred Miles
From Home.
Megan Smithers, the illustrator,
resides in North Adams, Massachussets. She was adopted at birth from Berkshire
Center for Families and Children. The author and Megan met at work and are
connected by similar adoption stories.
